Wildspirit Workshop Day 2 – Boudoir

Wildspirit Workshop Day 2 – Boudoir

When Ainslie said we were going to have some models come in so we could take photos of them in their underwear, I wondered if I should head home early. I mean, I’ve seen some beautiful boudoir photography but it’s not something I’ve really considered doing myself. I always thought I’d feel too uncomfortable. But, … Read More

Wildspirit Workshop Day One

Today was the first day of a three day photography workshop I’m attending this week. Myself and eleven other photographers stepped through a tiny door into a rustic studio in Freo to learn the finer details of the art of newborn photography with the amazing Ainslie of Wildspirit Photography. It was an intense day, featuring … Read More

My twirly girls

My twirly girls

About 2 years ago I took some photos of the girls playing in puddles near this same wall; and while we were there with our niece and her boyfriend, I grabbed some more of the girls as well. Wearing their very favorite dresses from Monsoons and Mangoes again! 🙂 Love 🙂

Karnup Reserve

Karnup Reserve

I’ve been working with my friend Christine to produce some interpretive signs for Karnup and Baldivis Reserves and they are finally completed and installed. I dropped by Karnup last week to grab some photos, the signs had been in for a couple of weeks. Christine did all the text, I did the photos (except the … Read More

Wildflower Season

Wildflower Season

Its wildflower season again and I’ve been taking photos here and there for the collection but not had a really good dedicated session. New Dresses

New Dresses

Attitude at three

Attitude at three

I took Miss Emerald out for her own photoshoot last weekend, all dressed up in a new red jacket that Nanny gave her for doing well at school. I did have pants picked out for her but she wanted to wear only the stockings! Our first choice of location was rained out, so we drove … Read More

Snakes Alive!

Snakes Alive!

Like most people, I’m scared of snakes. Just like spiders, they send off this irrational fear response and the sight of one or even a sound that might be one slithering through the leaf litter makes me start to panic a little. However, if I am looking at something through the lens of my camera, … Read More

Sky wing

Sky wing

We took the girls down to the Rockingham foreshore on the weekend and just as we arrived there was this imposing cloud alone in the sky. I love these kinds of clouds, they remind me of angel wings. I took a few shots but before long it had stretched across the sky and then vanished.
