I love going to Point Peron to shoot, the environment is inspiring and it always helps me appreciate how lucky we are to live where we do. This family session was no exception, we had a lovely time wandering around. I had no intention of climbing the stairs but they wanted some photos up there so up we went. My breath was taken away by both the climb and the view, in different ways of course. When we got to the top, a music video was being filmed on the best wall! I still love the shots we got and am very happy with how this session turned out. Thanks so much Fiona for inviting me to help create these memories and for raising such lovely young men.

I seem to have had a run of boys lately! Today I was spoilt with a family of older boys and a beautiful environment to work in. These three sons and their dad got up nice and early to beat the rain and the sun and get some photos for their lucky mum. We strolled around Point Peron for a variety of shots and young Lizzie the dog had a ball and managed to star in most of the photos. Thank you guys for being so easy-going and well-behaved – you are a credit to your family

We made a speedy trip up to Geraldton this weekend, to shoot the Midwest Bridal Expo again. It was a fun event and all the models were fantastic. This year I had local photographer Verdell O’Brien doing some gorgeous creative work outside, while I just shot studio-style after the models came off the catwalk.
From the Brides of Yesteryear category, this is my mother-in-law’s wedding dress:

Some beautiful gowns from Pazellies House of Fashion:

Children’s wear by Best and Less Geraldton:

Hair and make-up by Make-up by Caitlin, make-up artist.
Thanks to Gary and Rose Ann Jupp and Patricia Shaw of the Geraldton Volunteer RFDS Fundraising Committee for the opportunity and all the hard work you put in to make this event happen.

These two lovebirds have been making our Facebook screens all mushy for months now, with their complete devotion to one another. This weekend they came down to Perth to say goodbye, as Luke is going off to the Navy while Emillee will return home to Geraldton. Although I feel heartbroken for them, I have to admit it is a sensible move and Luke really does seem to have a good head on his shoulders. They are determined to keep things going at a distance until Emillee can move to be closer to him and I wish them both the very best of luck xxx

I had fun with this shot, check out the details

I’ve been thinking about doing some edgier, young adult and teen portrait work. This was just a quick pre-session, we plan to do another with him soon in a more urban setting.
All that jumping was insane under the hot WA sun, not to mention the dry spiky grass. A big thanks to Adam for being such a great model, I’m looking forward to the next one

I was lucky enough to tag along with Fiona Colvin on a shoot of 11 girls. It was something different for me and so much fun. Here are a couple of shots from the session:

Thanks Fiona and the girls!
