Alice in Down-under-land
This little girl travelled all the way from London at only 4 months of age, to see her family over here. It was almost impossible to coax a smile but her beautiful blue eyes observed the entire event. The Australian sun must have been a bit of a shock, not to mention the 38 degree day! She took it all in stride though and we have some lovely photos to show for it.
Soon after I arrived, I was introduced to a selection of special Dockers footballs, to be featured in a portrait with Alice. An image from another one of my sessions had fired their imagination. Alice loved the ball and we got quite a few photos of her with it, here she is getting ready to kick it:

She looks so pretty laying on the bed here:

I brought with me a whole pile of girly accessories but Alice is a modern girl and not into all that. However, we did manage to get a tutu on, to the family’s great amusement. I think we all have to admit, she does look adorable in it:

Thanks so much to the family for being such fun and I hope you love these as much as I do
The Boys
These boys are so lucky to have a mum and dad who have created a property tailored to their every desire. From the pool with two slides to the myriad of bikes and motorbikes, the fruit and vegie garden and all the wide open space and fresh air, it is indeed a paradise to grow up in.
This was a great session, with lots of thought and ideas provided by Vicky. It was lovely to get photos where the outfits match and all the red inspired me to play around with the processing for some of these previews.
We started off with a group shot by the pool:

Moved into the bush with this awesome chair:

Tried a little vintage processing, boys in the cubby house:

And the character of this trike was just screaming for some lomo:

Gorgeous little man, can you believe he is only 3 months?

And one for you boys, action photos on the bikes:

Lots more to come, and don’t stress guys, I’ll process them all normally. Just having a bit of a play for the blog shots
Thanks so much for having me and being such a great family to work with.
Baby Sophie
Sophie was a little older than a newborn but still so petite that we went for the newborn style. So it came as no surprise that she was far too aware of what was going on to want to stay asleep for very long. The sound of my shutter was enough to wake her and despite looking so peaceful here, she spent more time awake or drinking than anything.

But then, when you have eyes as amazing as this, why would you want to take photos of them closed?

And I couldn’t leave out a shot of big brother, who is a natural in front of the camera

Young Caelan
Not yet one year old, Caelan is already a grown up little man. I had the pleasure of photographing him and his family at their home yesterday.
He loved showing off his cot:

Fun in the backyard, chooks and all:

Love these colous on him:

Thank you so much for making this session easy and fun
Amy at One
Here are a couple of sneak previews of my mid-week session with Miss Amy for her One Year Old photos. As you can see, she is an absolute doll and definitely worth lugging all my gear up those stairs for. Thank you to both the mums for all your help during the shoot.
This one is my favorite – I know she is not smiling but that pose with her thumb in her mouth just makes me melt. I wonder if she will sit in that chair as an adult and compare its size.

So many beautiful flowers in the garden:

I love this one in black and white as well but had to leave it in colour to show off her stunning blue eyes:

Sleeping Beauty
Just before his first birthday, David was so exhausted from all the preparations he fell asleep before his photoshoot:
